Once the car is restored, either by yourself or a person who restores cars you can then make a great profit on the vehicle when selling it. You may not sell it at the first show or the first time that you advertise it, but patience will allow you the opportunity to find the right buyer that is willing to pay your price.
Not only are the classic cars still bringing the money that they are worth, the extra parts that you have for the old muscle cars will also be in demand. There are more buyers then sellers with the parts and the vehicles.
